Logistics Quote Specialist

<strong>Work Arrangement:</strong> On-site<br><br><strong>Position Overview<br><br></strong>The Logistics Quote Specialist is responsible for supporting transportation quoting and order registration activities across UniGroup’s logistics operations by analyzing quote requests, developing pricing solutions, and coordinating service requirements across multiple transportation offerings.<br><br>This role supports quote generation activities across truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), brokerage, and specialized transportation services, including auto transportation solutions. Responsibilities include evaluating quote requests, applying tariffs and pricing structures, coordinating operational requirements, and partnering with agents, customers, and internal teams to deliver accurate and timely pricing solutions.<br><br>Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the capability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment while balancing customer needs, operational requirements, and profitability.<br><br><strong>What You’ll Do:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Review, analyze, and respond to transportation quote requests across TL, LTL, brokerage, and specialized transportation services</li><li>Generate accurate pricing solutions by applying tariffs, pricing structures, service requirements, and operational considerations</li><li>Evaluate quote requests that fall outside standard registration guidelines or require specialized handling</li><li>Coordinate quote and order registration activities while ensuring required information is accurately documented within internal systems</li><li>Partner with agents, customers, and internal teams to clarify service requirements and identify transportation solutions</li><li>Collaborate with operations teams to understand service availability, capacity considerations, and execution requirements</li><li>Coordinate equipment, service options, and transportation requirements to support accurate quote development</li><li>Support quote updates, re-quotes, pricing adjustments, and service modifications as business needs evolve</li><li>Train agents and users on quote entry, order registration, system processes, and related workflows as needed</li><li>Communicate regularly with agents, transportation providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support service delivery</li><li>Negotiate transportation solutions and service options with agents, carriers, vendors, and internal partners when appropriate</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, departmental procedures, and transportation regulations</li><li>Maintain documentation, reporting, operational records, and related system updates</li><li>Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve workflows and service outcomes</li><li>Handle escalations and support department priorities as needed<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We’re Looking For:<br><br></strong><strong>Required<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience</li><li>2–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, operations, pricing, quoting, finance, or a related field</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret pricing structures and operational requirements</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Strong communication and relationship-building abilities across internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Experience working within systems and managing detailed transactional information<br><br></li></ul><em>Nice to Have<br><br></em><ul><li>Experience supporting transportation quoting, pricing, registration, brokerage, or logistics operations</li><li>Experience supporting TL, LTL, brokerage, auto transportation, or specialized freight operations</li><li>Familiarity with tariffs, transportation pricing methodologies, order registration, or transportation management systems (TMS)</li><li>Experience working with transportation operations, carrier networks, or logistics service providers</li><li>Exposure to transportation regulations and operational processes<br><br></li></ul><strong>Benefits & Work Environment<br><br></strong><ul><li>Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) retirement plan with company match</li><li>Generous paid time off, holidays, and personal leave</li><li>Life insurance, disability coverage, and employee assistance programs</li><li>Professional development and growth opportunities</li><li>Collaborative, team-oriented culture within a respected leader in the moving and logistics industry<br><br></li></ul>This role follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and is primarily onsite.<br><br><strong>Work Authorization<br><br></strong>Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
