Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. The Maintenance technician is responsible for the general maintenance of the community and apartment homes. They will be actively involved in providing resident-requested maintenance service, the turnover of vacant apartment homes, and participating in the after-hours emergency service programs. Our service team is the front line: they interact with our customers and residents daily and are expected to always provide quality service.

Candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of general maintenance functions and activities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs with over 5 years of maintenance experience. Candidates must be self-starters, team players, and demonstrate excellent people skills. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be prepared to be on-call for emergency calls after hours.

Typical Duties:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartment homes and community buildings.
  • Complete maintenance service requests from residents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all units are ready for new tenants by performing turnovers, including cleaning, repairing, and painting.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, and appliances.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls and provide necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of service requests, maintenance work, and inventory.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the property, including landscaping, common areas, and amenities.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all regulatory standards and building codes.
  • Report any major repair needs or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Participate in after hour and weekend emergency maintenance needs.
  • Ability to be on-call for after hour emergencies and report to the property if a true emergency occurs.

Pay: $27.50 - $32.50 per hour
