MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible to carry out electrical power supply equipment and machinery corrective and preventive maintenance activities effectively to support production operation.

  • Responsible to troubleshoot/fix machinery or equipment errors effectively to minimize the impact to production.

  • Able to plan and arrange daily operation for ad-hoc maintenance activity.

  • Perform maintenance work according to department planning.

  • Perform routine sound and visual check up on all running plant equipment to prevent machine breakdown.

  • Ensure machinery condition is well maintained to ensure high productivity and keep proper equipment records.

  • Perform mechanical jobs and minor fabrications such as overhauling of machine, welding, pipefitting, plumbing and other related work.

  • To work safely in accordance to OSHA requirements, report any unsafe finding to superior as necessary.

  • To practice good 5S work method in workplace and responsible taking care of working tools and equipment provided.

  • To follow work instruction and propose improvement of work instruction as needed.

  • Ensure compliance to established HACCP /GMP/ ISO/ Food Safety Management System.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education & Professional Qualification:
  • At least possess with Professional Certificate or Diploma, Engineering (Electrical/ Electronics), Engineering (Mechanical) / Mechatronics/ automation or equivalent.

2. Training Needs:
  • Trained on the requirements of the HACCP, GMP, and other food safety system, ISO 9001 Standard, if preferred;

  • Trained on the programs (if any) identified in the On-Job Training Program & Records.

3. Necessary Experience:
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the areas of electrical and mechanical.

  • Working knowledge of facilities machine and equipment.

  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Able to understand schematic diagram (electrical/mechanical).

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Possess positive attitude, self-motivated and self-discipline.

4. Essential Skills:
  • Preferable hands on specialized in maintenance or repair (machinery and facilities) or equivalent.

  • Able to perform shift work.
