Role Overview: As a Senior Manager at American Express, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director in executing PMO standards, governance, and delivery for the Oracle Cloud transformation for GSM. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day program execution, coordination across stakeholders, risk and issue management, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and in line with agreed standards. Key Responsibilities: - Support the implementation and adherence to PMO standards and governance frameworks for the Oracle Cloud transition. - Execute the GSM communication strategy and support budget tracking, risk identification, and issue management in collaboration with the Director and central PMO. - Track progress against milestones, manage assigned risks and issues, and prepare status updates, dashboards, and reports for leadership review. - Represent GSM in program working sessions, steering forums, and execution team meetings as delegated by the Director. - Manage assigned workstreams across the end-to-end program lifecycle, including process redesign activities, policy alignment, documentation, and stakeholder impact assessment. - Ensure deliverables are completed as per the project plan and escalate risks, dependencies, and delays in a timely manner. - Partner with Finance, GSM Capabilities, Technology, System Integrators (SI), and the central PMO to support integration activities and successful delivery. - Facilitate effective communication and coordination across cross-functional teams to support decision-making and issue resolution. - Support organizational change initiatives, including execution of communication plans and training activities for ERP adoption. - Provide guidance and oversight to Analysts, ensuring quality, timeliness, and consistency of outputs. Qualification, Experience, and Critical Skills: - Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Technology, or a related field - PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred. - 5-7 years of experience in project management, program delivery, or PMO roles, preferably supporting enterprise or multi-workstream initiatives. - Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and reporting platforms (e.g., MS Project, Power BI, JIRA, Smartsheet). - Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and supporting process improvement or transformation initiatives. - Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present clear and concise updates to leadership. - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines with a structured and execution-focused approach. - Agile mindset with the ability to adapt plans and priorities based on evolving program needs. - Demonstrated people-management or team-coordination experience, with the ability to guide and mentor analysts or junior team members.
