MANAGER - INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

This full-time, on-site position based in Bandar Sri Damansara, is for the role of Manager, International Business. The responsibilities involve managing international business channels, developing opportunities to expand the organisation’s reach, and collaborating with external stakeholders to identify and secure international partnerships. The role also includes overseeing day-to-day operations related to international programs and ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of trade facilitation and export promotion programmes for Malaysian manufacturers.
  • Manage trade documentation services including endorsement of Certificates of Origin and coordination with relevant government agencies.
  • Monitor trade and investment policy development, assess their impact on the manufacturing sector and prepare policy inputs for engagement with ministries and relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with chambers of commerce, embassies and business councils to develop international partnerships and expand market access for members.
  • Plan and organise trade-related events including business forums, trade missions, seminars and business-matching sessions.
  • Provide advisory support to members on export procedures, government incentives programmes and overseas market opportunities.
  • Assist in managing regional and bilateral business networks including ASEAN, East Asia and selected partner country councils.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in trade facilitation, international business, policy engagement or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of export procedures, free trade agreements, rules of origin, and government incentive frameworks applicable to the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement with government ministries, statutory bodies and industry associations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Ability to produce high-quality policy papers, submissions, briefings, and correspondence independently.
  • Must possess own transport.
