Position Summary DESCRIPTION The Samsung global services team is responsible for driving Smart TV and mobile services businesses by building intelligent, integrated, cross-platform services that delight and entertain users. Samsung TV Plus is Samsung’s direct-to-consumer OTT video service featuring ad-supported linear channels, ad-supported AVOD and Live event streaming. In the US, TV Plus launched in April 2018 and is currently available on 2016-26 model Samsung Smart TVs, Featured Appliances and Galaxy mobile devices. As the Manager of Onboarding and Client Relations, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of your asset management team both in and outside the US. Your main role will be onboarding Content Partners, giving direction on Samsung’s delivery process, Specification requirements and using our CP ingestion portal. This type of role requires a delicate balance between keeping our Partners asset deliveries correct and on-time while also being professional and understanding that you represent Samsung TV Plus. This role also will help define and improve workflows, recommend changes to existing tools and the creation of new ones in order to better facilitate faster throughput while also increasing capacity. This is a 5 day in office position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Be the face of Samsung TV Plus to new Content Partners, walking them through the onboarding and asset delivery process. • Liaison with Samsung Business and Programming Teams to launch new initiatives, special projects while setting operational expectations and timelines. • Lead operation efforts with product, business development, engineering and post production vendors on delivery timelines and output capacities to support linear FAST channels. • Recommend Process improvements and tools to improve overall capacity and efficiency • Manage all asset rejections, coordinating with Samsung’s Quality Assurance team as well as overseeing redeliveries from Content Partners. • Handle inquiries from licensors, engineering teams and FAST playout partners, including investigating and resolving material rejections. Role and Responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS 6+ years of experience in asset management and delivery 3+ years of managing both projects and teams, working with vendors and content partners Solid knowledge of best practices and trends on AVOD ecosystems, transmission protocols, and metadata lifecycles Understanding of industry video encoding codecs, closed captions standards and formats Experience working with production vendors to diagnose and resolve video-related issues Proven ability to create organized, efficient processes from chaos and complexity Excellent collaborator with ability to effectively communicate across divisions and language barriers Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent related work experience required Skills and Qualifications Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Los Angeles, CA is expected to be between $125,000 and $145,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
