Managing Actuary - Medicare, Remote

<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong><br>Will be responsible for Medicare pricing and risk revenue analytics.</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"> </p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><a name="_Hlk209173505">The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned</a></p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;">Managing Actuaries typically manage one or more direct reports and are responsible for their team’s work, reviews, and development, as well as being responsible for producing their own work</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><a name="_Hlk209173536">Managing Actuaries participate in the Actuarial Rotation program which provides the opportunity to rotate to a different team every 3-4 years. Rotations can be internal (core Actuarial, such as Commercial/Medicare pricing and reserves) or external (non-Actuarial teams with Actuarial-related work, such as Segment, Value-Based Provider Analytics, Financial Performance and Analysis, Pharmacy Analytics, etc.)</a></p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><a name="_Hlk209173573">Support pricing, trend analytics, gross margin reporting, and financial reporting related to ACA, Medicare, Group, Reserves, Segment, and other teams</a></p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;">Actuarial representation on cross-functional workgroups as an active participant</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;">Open to remote or in-person candidates<br> </p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Required Experience:</strong><br>4+ years related, successful, progressive professional work experience<br>Math/Statistics or related Bachelor's degree required <br>Current and active Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)<br>Background in health insurance field<br>Strong communication<br>Proficient in Excel, SAS, and SQL <br> </p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br>Medicare experience</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;">Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;">Health pricing and/or reserving experience</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;">SAS and/or SQL expertise</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;">Experience independently managing projects and/or people</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"> </p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>General Physical Demands:</strong><br>Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
