As a Mobile Technician at Lucid Motors, you will provide expert diagnosis, maintenance, and repair services for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) across multiple sites and customer locations. This role requires flexibility, technical mastery, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments. You will support premium service experiences, including handling pre-production and special vehicle projects. This role offers opportunities for technicians at different experience levels, reflecting a range from skilled technician to advanced, fully independent service expert.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair Lucid Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) at the highest quality standards
  • Travel extensively to perform mobile service visits, delivering expert technical solutions on-site
  • Accurately and comprehensively document all service activities using internal software
  • Adhere strictly to repair documentation and safety protocols, especially related to high-voltage systems
  • Collaborate effectively with service advisors, workshop managers, and technical specialists
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members to ensure high satisfaction
  • Mentor and share knowledge with peers and junior technicians as needed
  • Assist with special vehicle projects including show cars, pre-production, and prototype units
  • Contribute to ongoing service process improvements and customer satisfaction initiatives
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a strong commitment to positive customer experiences
  • Exhibit passion for sustainable mobility and innovation in the automotive industry
  • Mandatory continuous learning via Lucid’s online training platform and practical technical training courses to stay current with latest repair procedures.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as Automobil-Mechatroniker/in EFZ or equivalent Swiss-recognized qualification
  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in a Swiss automotive workshop or mobile service role
  • Valid HV Certificate Level 2 or 3 (e.g., nach EKAS Richtlinie / VSEI / DGUV 209-093 )
  • Solid knowledge of diagnostic tools and automotive electrical systems (incl. CAN-Bus, LIN)
  • Valid Swiss Category B driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills in German and English
  • High degree of independence, flexibility, and professionalism in the field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and openness to using proprietary Dealer Management Systems (DMS)

Nice-to-haves

  • Manufacturer Master Certifications (e.g., BMW Master Technician, VW Diagnosetechniker )
  • Specializations in: Communications electronics (CAN, LIN, MOST)
  • Climate and thermal systems, including heat pumps
  • Chassis, suspension, and brake systems
  • Certifications related to: ADAS calibration (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
  • Klima-Sachkundenachweis (gemäss EG 307/2008 / VFK)
  • HVAC systems, airbags, or OEM-specific systems
  • Regular participation in technical assessments, OEM exams, or internal knowledge checks
  • Experience working with premium OEM brands or EV platforms (e.g., BMW, Mercedes, Porsche)
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and lead complex repair projects
  • Experience: 3–7 years of hands-on experience in professional automotive workshops or mobile service environments
  • Proven track record of complex diagnostics, fault isolation, and independent repair execution
  • Confident handling of diagnostic software, troubleshooting procedures, and repair documentation
  • Experience supporting pre-production, prototype, or special vehicle projects is advantageous
