ROLE DETAILS

Position: Women’s Health NP (Licensed Medical Professional, member of the RNAO).

Location: Work from home in Ontario, location close to Toronto preferred for in person meetings if needed

Employment Type: Independent contractor, 1 to 2 days per week in equivalent time. To be discussed.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Women’s health to support our care team (registered nurses and health coach) in prescribing tailored hormone replacement therapy (HRT) when needed by our members. This custom treatment will be built and implemented in collaboration with our medical director.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be a great team player.

This part-time UNIQUE independent contractor role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to balance your career with personal and other work commitments while being a key player in our mission to contribute to the evolution of women’s health in a dynamic and growing environment.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual consultations to assess and manage perimenopause / menopause symptoms.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, including HRT when appropriate, based on patient needs and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Educate patients about perimenopause, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate closely with RNs and MDs on lab tests, exams, and prescribed medications to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with PIPEDA regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and guidelines related to perimenopause and HRT.
  • Provide a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, fostering trust and open communication.
  • Maintain the highest standards of care.

What We’re Looking For

Qualification: Ontario (RNAO) license required, with additional provincial licenses preferred.

Clinical Expertise: You are a NP (Nurse Practitioner) with specialized experience in women’s health, hormonal therapy, and holistic care, with a focus on supporting women through peri- to post-menopause. Bonus if you also have basic knowledge of nutrition, exercise, and psychology.

Attention to Detail: You are thorough in client assessments, symptom tracking, and documentation, ensuring every aspect of care is recorded in the EMR.

Strong Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients in a virtual setting.

Collaborative Leader: You are comfortable working closely with Nurses, Doctors, and coaches, providing medical oversight and direction. Ability to escalate situations outside of your expertise to the MDs.

Problem Solver: You can make critical decisions when symptoms escalate or change, ensuring the client
