Responsibilities and Expectations

Key Responsibilities The Operations Training Manager is responsible for leading and evolving all training efforts across Deposit Operations, ensuring teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Payments and Deposit Operations, this role requires deep experience in bank operations along with a formal training background to strategically develop, implement, and maintain scalable training solutions.
  • Lead and continuously enhance the onboarding program for Deposit Operations associates, ensuring a consistent and effective new‑hire experience.
    • Develop and maintain onboarding checklists and training plans
    • Deliver training on systems, policies, procedures, and workflows
    • Partner with management to refine onboarding content and structure
    • Provide regular progress updates on new hires to leadership
  • Design, coordinate, and facilitate engaging training programs using effective instructional tools and methodologies.
    • Partner with supervisors to assess training needs and schedule sessions
    • Develop and maintain training materials and instructional content
    • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Monitor employee performance and learning outcomes
  • Support retail and commercial banker training on Deposit Operations‑related topics, including travel to locations across the organization’s footprint as needed.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of Deposit Operations policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews for both new hires and tenured employees to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Complete required compliance training and maintain regulatory awareness
  • Perform additional duties and contribute to special projects as assigned
Required Skills & Education

Requirements

  • Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • 3 + years of Bank Operations experience required
  • Demonstrated Training experience required
  • College degree preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint) and e-learning software; Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills; Organizational and time management abilities; Critical thinking decision making. Positive attitude is a must!
