We’ll never stop reinventing ourselves to meet our customers’ evolving needs - because we know that our work, delivering 100% fiber optic internet, truly changes people’s lives.</p> <p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepares detailed construction & installation drawings - designing fiber cable fields, splicing sequences in alignment with Network Planning.</li> <li>Provides estimates of labor and materials costs and design loss calculations.</li> <li>Maps and drafts utilizing CAD & manual processes - researches & updates International Construction Measurement Standards (ICMS) records, appropriate permits, and ISP designs.</li> <li>Manages & tracks OSP work schedules to ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines: develops cost studies, performs estimates, reports on project progress, as well budget forecasting, tracking, & reporting.</li> <li>Liaises with city officials to manage permitting processes and ensure compliance.</li> <li>Liaises with customers regarding land acquisitions for easements.</li> <li>Provides real-time direction to colleagues to meet project timelines & contractual obligations.</li> <li>Communicates & escalates contractual, technical, or scheduling requirements that are in jeopardy or that could affect customer or project progress.</li> <li>Reviews all permits, rights of way, easements, and negotiations needed for project completion.</li> <li>Tracks and follows up on all issues & actions encountered by colleagues and vendors.</li> <li>Integrates innovations into design & engineering practices.</li> <li>Collaborates with Sales as needed to develop tailored design solutions for potential customers.</li> <li>Oversees and guides design-permitting vendors, ensuring their work aligns with business objectives and project requirements.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned, including departmental & cross-functional projects.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required</u></strong>                                                                                                              </p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated project management experience.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of OSHA rules, site safety, National Electric Safety Code (NESC) requirements, and associated construction and telecommunications federal and local regulations.</li> <li>Proficient in MS Office; able to create reports, presentations, and project documentation.</li> <li>Able to respond promptly, manage multiple tasks & customer needs, and prioritize progress toward deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Working knowledge of all aspects of company processes including but limited to:</li> <ul> <li>OSP construction;</li> <li>Site preparation and permitting;</li> <li>OSP testing and acceptance standards;</li> <li>Creating design for local L2 and Transport architecture;</li> <li>Google Earth and various fiber mapping platforms.</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong><u>Other Experience & Requirements</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years’ technical experience working in OSP Engineering, Construction, or Operations.</li> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required;
