MicroTech Systems is currently looking for a high energy individual who can provide both exceptional customer service for a wide variety of customers throughout Southern Idaho and Eastern Oregon. Applicant needs to be a motivated individual who is a good team player and is interested in making a long-term commitment.

MicroTech Systems, founded in 1970, provides IT support services to businesses throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley. Our purpose is to help people feel secure so that we can all grow together!


Mission

The core mission of the Outside Sales Representative is to increase revenue by finding and closing business. Outside Sales Representatives will be expected to make cold calls in addition to the following up on leads from marketing activities. There may be some warm leads that come from referrals, but new sales will largely come from opportunities Outside Sales Representatives uncover by researching and cold calling.


The Outside Sales Representative will be expected to live the MicroTech Core Values in an exemplary manner: 1) Never give up, 2) Integrity matters, 3) Own it, 4) Build trust!

Key Criteria/Requirements

  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism.
    • Attitude, appearance, etc.
  • Prospecting for new clients. Examples would include cold calls, emails, networking events, etc.
  • Prospecting / Client appointments
  • Writing proposals and quotes
  • Training / certifications
  • Client reporting and services provided
  • Act as client liaison between clients and MicroTech departments for requests and information
  • 0-2 years of sales experience
  • 2+ year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Hard working, self-motivated and results oriented
  • Aptitude for technical sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills to meet the client needs
  • Proficient use of Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle for traveling to prospecting / client appointments
