Apply today to learn more about the opportunities available to grow your career at Sanford.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Job Description</b></u></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>REGISTRATION</b></p><p>- Greet patients & verifies demographics</p><p>- Creating, scanning & routing documents or electronic forms</p><p>- Inform patients what the document is & capture signatures on necessary paperwork</p><p>- Establishes and assigns financial responsibility and assists with arrangements while adhering to appropriate policies and procedures</p><p>- Collects co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances</p><p>- May work through the registration work queue to address and resolve registration errors or denied insurance claims</p><p></p><p><b>SCHEDULING</b></p><p>- Work with nursing team & providers to coordinate & schedule appointments to meet patient’s needs, coordinate provider schedule</p><p>- Obtain and coordinate referrals & conduct pre-authorization</p><p>- Arrange interpreter services</p><p>- Check patients in/out</p><p>- Operate multi-line phone</p><p>- May resolve work queue issues, manage recall and waitlists, & serve as switchboard operator calling codes and paging providers</p><p></p><p><b>ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE</b></p><p>- Preparation & coordination of charts</p><p>- Organize supporting provider documents</p><p>- Initiation & collaboration of patient financial assistance</p><p>- Track patient visits & health information management on patient accounts</p><p>- Compile, distribute, administer, and score assessments</p><p>- Coordination of Telemed appointments</p><p>- Reminder calls for appointments</p><p>- Hospital admission</p><p>- Office duties, such as make copies or send faxes</p><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Qualifications</b></u></p>High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post-secondary education helpful. <br><br>One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
