The Pharmacy Technician 1 prepares medications for patients under the guidance of a Pharmacist. Assists the Pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions, price-checking, and restocking of drugs.<br /><br /><b>CORE JOB FUNCTIONS</b><br />1. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.<br />2. Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.<br />3. Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs.<br />4. Refers providers’ calls and medical questions to Pharmacist.<br />5. Participates in orientation and assigned training program to attain competency in pharmacy technician duties.<br />6. Stays abreast of basic knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations and standards, pharmacy informatics and technology including medication dispensing systems, and pharmacy calculations.<br />7.
