Locum Tenens Opportunity: Psychiatrist (Leadership Option) Near Junction, IA Join a Dynamic Team in a Rewarding Psychiatrist Role Discover an exciting locum tenens opportunity for a Psychiatrist with an option to step into a leadership role, located near Junction, IA. This position offers a unique blend of inpatient psychiatric care, hospital consults, and ER consultations. Schedule and Responsibilities: Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 8 am - 5 pm. Morning rounding; every third day involves managing all hospital calls and consults during regular business hours (9 am - 5 pm).

Call Requirements: Occasional call every third evening and one weekend per month.

Weekend call: 5 pm Friday to 8 am Monday. Providers may cover rounding/call, with local providers managing most evening calls from 5 pm - 8 am.

Patient Load: Average of 5-12 patients per day.

Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric care for adult and adolescent units. Hospital and ER consults.

Note: Not open to telehealth.

Job Description: Certification: Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (with plans to test) in Psychiatry.

Experience: Experience in treating patients aged 6 and up is preferred.

Leadership Opportunity: Qualified and interested candidates have the option to step into a leadership role.

Psychiatrist Group: Currently 1 part-time inpatient psychiatrist.

Advanced Practice Providers: 2 supporting the group.

Psychologists: None in the inpatient setting.

Documentation System/EMR: Utilize Cerner for efficient record-keeping.

Trauma Level/Designation: Level III.

Referral/Transfer Protocol: University of Iowa, accessible within 40 minutes by car.

Safety/Security Measures: Security personnel on each campus.

Required Treatment Disorders: Familiarity with a range of disorders, therapies, and interventions.

Qualifications and Application: Board Certification: Required for Psychiatry, or Board Eligible with plans to test.

License: Active Iowa license or willingness to obtain is mandatory.

Experience: Experience in treating patients aged 6 and up is preferred.

Conditions/Treatments: Familiarity with a variety of psychiatric disorders and treatments is required.

Leadership Interest: Candidates must express interest in a locum to perm arrangement.
