PR Intern - The Cheesecake Factory

Accepting applications from Jan 21 through Feb 21. Applicant selection occurs through March 15th. The internship will begin on either June 8, or June 15, 2025, and will run for a total of 10 weeks.

Eligible for a hybrid work schedule split between home & office, with a minimum of 3 days in the office each week.

As a Cheesecake Public Relations Intern, you will play an integral part in supporting our Marketing & PR department by assisting with ongoing projects and responsibilities that relate to your future career. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how a Marketing department functions by interacting with the entire team as well as cross functionally with other departments.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Public Relations and Global Branding, you will work with a Marketing team of 20, located in Calabasas Hills, CA, supporting the Marketing & PR function for a $3.6 billion public company with over 300 restaurants and more than 47,500 staff members.

Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:

  • In support of National Cheesecake Day (our biggest PR opportunity of the year), our intern will coordinate all logistics for our local broadcast segments across the country, utilizing media monitoring tools to monitor and clip all relevant coverage.
  • Assist with our National Cheesecake Day post-campaign recap and analysis.
  • Support all other (non-National Cheesecake Day) summer PR activities.
  • Assist with a TBD research project.

What we require:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Completed a minimum 2 years in post-secondary education.
  • Majoring in Public Relations, Communications or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Available to work a minimum of 35-40 hours per week.
  • Available to work from the support center at least 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
