Let’s Engage! www.engagefi.com</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>The Pricing Analyst directly supports our consulting service offerings. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for reviewing, ingesting, and analyzing large amounts of pricing data, including a focus on analyzing client invoices and offers, identifying service offerings and volumes, comparing like services for competing vendors, and tracking and analyzing pricing trends in the marketplace using industry data, public reports, client invoices and pricing proposals, as well as proprietary business intelligence.</p><p><br></p><p>This Pricing Analyst works directly with consultants and vendors to ensure that pricing presentations to clients are accurate and timely and to suggest appropriate and effective negotiation strategies.</p><p><br></p><p>The Pricing Analyst will also serve as a liaison to the Technology department to enhance internal pricing and negotiation technology and to contribute to the accuracy of the data in the pricing database.</p><p><br></p><p>To be successful in this role, this individual will be capable of highly-focused, detail-oriented work; they will be able to work independently under general guidance, prioritize tasks, and juggle multiple concurrent projects and deliverables. A key function of this role is capturing, decomposing, normalizing, and analyzing service costs from disparate sources. Other duties include maintaining pricing project lists and data, reviewing price quotes, generating pricing reports, and building comparative pricing models.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Analyzes vendor pricing proposals and invoices to normalize pricing against client’s current expenses and other vendors’ proposals and pricing.</li><li>Validate proposal quotations for accuracy and comprehensiveness and works with consultants to identify and address missing services/products in vendor proposals.</li><li>Assess and analyze data from a variety of sources to gain insights into current client pricing and advise consultants on comparable pricing from similar deals in order to formulate go-forward negotiation strategies.</li><li>Work with vendors and consultants as needed to understand pricing/invoice attributes.</li><li>Prepare multi-year cost and pricing models for internal and client use, based on project assumptions.</li><li>Collaborate with peers and internal customers in continuously improve and test processes, pricing technology, internal tools, and client-facing templates to increase accuracy, efficiency, and insight into data.</li><li>Track vendor and project pricing information to present to Pricing and Product team for model adjustments/ changes.</li><li>Collaborate with Product team on dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends.</li><li>Prepare and present pricing analysis findings to consultants, project managers, leadership, and clients.</li><li>Keep informed on pricing analysis methods and industry trends and communicate updates to internal teams.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>Required Skills & Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Zeal for accuracy, quality, rigor, and consistency; extremely analytic and detail oriented</li><li>Excellent team player; self-starter and the ability to work unsupervised with enhanced time management skills</li><li>Highly adaptable in a dynamic environment</li><li>Strong financial modeling experience</li><li>Must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Excel</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or at least 5 years of related work experience</li><li>A minimum of five years' experience as a pricing analyst in a similar industry</li><li>Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis</li><li>Extensive experience in analyzing pricing strategies and forecasting revenue and market share.</li><li>Experience in collaborating on project teams</li><li>Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and develop dynamic pricing tools</li><li>Advanced ability to present pricing analysis reports to relevant stakeholders</li><li>Excellent analytical and communication skills</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li></ul><p><strong>Position Type/Expected hours of Work:</strong></p><ul><li>Full Time/ 40 hours per week</li></ul><p><strong>Location:</strong></p><ul><li>Remote</li><li>Limited travel required to attend company/department meeting 1-2 times per year</li></ul><p><strong>Other Duties:</strong></p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
