This role will be an on-site position located in El Segundo, California.</p><p></p><p>You will work with a talented team on the development of next generation Receiver / Exciter technologies & provide production support for Airborne Radars. A successful candidate is someone who has experience working in a fast moving, high-octane environment with prior success and leadership in detailed design, analysis, test, trade studies, modelling /simulation of Microwave RF circuits, Radio Frequency Assemblies (RFAs), Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs), Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs), Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), RF Special Test Equipment (STE) & Production support. The candidate must be experienced using lab equipment, modelling tools/SW and CAD tools.</p><p>Design and test experience in high frequency circuits ranging from baseband to millimeter wave is required. In-depth Module and Unit level experience along with a broad understanding of Receiver / Exciters and Systems level requirements is highly desirable.</p><p></p><p><b><u>What You Will Do: </u></b></p><ul><li>The candidate will lead design and trade of various component selections including amplifiers, mixers, switches, resistors, diodes, as well as filters. They will design and conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators, develop schematics and layouts, develop Special Test equipment (including validation & certification), conduct testing and integration, and see the product from development through production & post-production technical support phases.</li><li>The successful candidate must be capable of taking RF hardware designs from development through support of production and taking ownership as an REA (Responsible Engineering Authority). In this role, the successful candidate will coordinate with test & production engineers, be responsible for production schedules/Line-of-Balance needs, resolve production issues & report status of production programs to higher management. The successful candidate will create and present technical data packages for program management during regularly scheduled meetings as well as various design reviews. They are also expected to create and manage documentation for hardware they design or work on.</li><li>The individual should be self-motivated, possess a proactive approach to problem solving, and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative mindset. The individual must have experience leading multi-disciplined engineers with diverse experience levels in design efforts and engineering investigations of production issues. The candidate must have a drive to learn and push the boundaries of technology while also mentoring less experienced engineers and sharing knowledge to strengthen the team.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Qualifications You Must Have: </u></b></p><ul><li>Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience</li><li>Minimum of 8 years of technical experience related to Microwave RF circuits</li><li>Experience in design, analysis, development, bread‐boarding, troubleshooting, and testing of Microwave RF circuits</li><li>Experience in software tools including: Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable</li><li>Experience in lab equipment including Special Test Equipment, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters</li><li>An active & transferable US security clearance.
