Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.</p><p></p><p>The Technology Portfolio Systems Engineering Lead applies systems engineering and mission engineering principles to identify capability gaps, define technology requirements, assess investment opportunities, and guide the maturation and transition of technologies into future products and programs. The role is responsible for maintaining alignment between strategic objectives, technology investments, and measurable portfolio outcomes while ensuring effective stewardship of Internal Research and Development (IRAD) investments.</p><p></p><p>What You Will Do</p><ul><li>Lead portfolio-level capability assessments to identify technology gaps, emerging opportunities, and investment priorities across Strategic Business Units and technology domains and support executive leadership reviews, strategic planning activities, and investment boards through development of portfolio analyses, recommendations, and decision-quality technical assessments.</li><li>Enable the SBU TDs and TALs to translate customer, warfighter, market, and business needs into technology capability requirements, investment roadmaps, and executable development plans.</li><li>Facilitate the Long-Range Planning (LRP) process by integrating technical, business, and operational perspectives into a coherent technology investment strategy.</li><li>Establish requirements traceability from strategic objectives through technology investments, technical development activities, and transition outcomes.</li><li>Conduct portfolio-level risk, opportunity, affordability, and technology readiness assessments to support informed investment decisions.</li><li>Collaborate with Technology Area Leads, Portfolio Leads, and SBU Technology Directors to identify capability shortfalls and accelerate development of critical technologies.</li><li>Develop portfolio-level Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), Measures of Performance (MOPs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate investment outcomes and technology transition success.</li><li>Develop and maintain portfolio management tools and data architectures using platforms such as ATOMIC and Power BI to provide integrated visibility into technology needs, capability gaps, investment priorities, technology transitions, make-versus-buy decisions, innovation activities, and external partnerships.</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications You Must Have</p><ul><li>Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.</li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
