Job Title: Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing

Department: Group Centralised Procurement (GCP)

Reports To: Head of Department - Group Centralised Procurement

Role Summary

We are looking for a Manager to lead our Strategic Sourcing team. You will drive cost optimization, risk management, supplier performance, and ESG alignment. You will also lead and develop a team of procurement professionals and oversee complex sourcing projects.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop sourcing strategies including direct sourcing from China and other key manufacturing countries.
  • Lead high-value, complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to contract award.
  • Drive cost optimization, TCO analysis, and value engineering.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and supplier engagements.
  • Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate ESG principles into sourcing and contract management.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and manage Assistant Managers, Buyers, and Executives.
  • Set KPIs, performance targets, and development plans.
  • Cover urgent requests, unclear specifications, and operational gaps.
  • Foster a high-performance, ethical team culture.
Governance & Compliance
  • Lead implementation of procurement policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
Systems & Reporting
  • Oversee SAP, SAP Ariba, and related systems.
  • Drive data analytics and reporting for decision-making.
  • Prepare and present management reports and dashboards.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and high-value negotiations.
  • Experience leading a procurement team.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and SAP Ariba (essential).
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
  • CIPS or equivalent certification.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 and ESG practices.
