Product Owner - Hybrid, Charlotte / Ft Mill area

Job Description The Product Owner is a crucial role on an application development team helping to transform a high-level vision into detailed functional requirements, create product user stories, and accept the completed deliver within a given iteration. That person is the primary contact responsible for ensuring the development team works on the tasks intended to address specific product scope and capabilities. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days a week in client office (located in Ft. Mill, SC) required. Responsibilities • Duties and Responsibilities • Lead product vision and strategy for your product team. • The Product Owner will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the engineering team, ensuring that product features are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with strategic goals. • Engage with stakeholders, clients, and product managers in scope definition and requirements refinement. • Write robust user stories that show your understanding of the product, the technical limitations, personas and acceptance criteria. • Develop deep knowledge of users, formulating hypothesis and advocating product direction and roadmap. • Act as the subject matter expert for your product; including awareness of the related technology stack and how the market and our customers use and extract business value from your product(s). • Define product roadmaps and drive PI objectives. • Assess risks and benefits of product enhancements and gain alignment with stakeholders, clients, and product managers. • Analyze product metrics and define continuous improvement initiatives to increase the Product's business value. • Introduce new approaches and tool sets that will allow the product development team to better understand the solution criteria and requirements. • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution. • Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus. • A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected. • Qualifications • 7+ years of working experience as a Product Owner who is used to working in a high performing Scrum environment. • 2+ years of consulting industry experience, with strong relationship management, and account management experience. • Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality products. • Strong collaboration and engagement skills with cross-functional teams including Development, QA, Product Management, UX Design, and Testing; proficient in creating detailed requirements, user stories, and user acceptance criteria (UAC). • Strong written skills with verbal communication experience and solid presentation skills who is highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality products. • Ability to define high-level business objectives and drive product roadmaps. • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution. • Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus. • A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected. • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. • Experience in agile and scrum development organizations. • Nice to have • Certification - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) is a plus. • Financial Services / Banking knowledge is also a plus.
