Regional Hardscape Sales Director

Summary: The Sales Director is responsible to grow and develop the sales and margins of MSI’s Hardscape product lines with landscape dealer and distributor network; located within an assigned geographic territory.


Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Compensation: This salaried, exempt position pays from $100,000 to $125,000 per year. The estimated annual pay for new hires generally ranges from $125,000 to $150,000 or more, depending on experience, education level and annual bonuses.


To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for Hardscape products to achieve revenue and profitability goals in region.
  • Recruit, Hire, Train, Mentor and Lead high-performing sales team; provide coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
  • Provide product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service training for the sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to support long-term growth.
  • Understand our brand, products and procedures; utilize them to position us as market leader.
  • Identify market trends and additional growth opportunities, drive business development and market expansion efforts.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with key customers and distributors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Investigate and help sales team resolve customer claims/problems.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports; use data to refine strategies and meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to ensure timely deliveries and inventory availability.
  • Partner with marketing to support brand positioning and drive demand through targeted merchandising.
  • Attend trade shows throughout the year as required.
  • Travel 90% in assigned territories with sales representatives, occasionally nationally.
  • Perform additional duties as required and or requested.
  • Support additional business initiatives as directed by senior leadership.

Additionally, the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Two (2) plus years’ experience in channel distribution sales
  • Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience; hardscape or hard flooring industries.
  • Strong math skills calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
  • Ability to determine solutions for customers.
  • Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license.uy
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills

  • Confidence and motivation to work toward targets
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well alone or within a team
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving
