This role involves interacting with the patients, completing verbal interactions to provide education, support, care coordination, and therapeutic communication. This collaborative care service will support our patients to help them navigate treatment plans, manage medications, and/or provide education to better understand their illness, which will promote mental well-being, support optimal wellness and recovery.</p><p class="ql-align-justify"> </p><p class="ql-align-justify"> </p><p class="ql-align-center"><strong><u>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Patient Assessment:</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Conduct brief assessments of patients’ mental and emotional health.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Review, gather and document current concerns through verbal interactions.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Therapeutic Communication:</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Utilize effective communication techniques to establish rapport and trust with patients.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Engage in active listening to understand patients’ needs and concerns.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Patient Education:</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Provide information and resources to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Facilitate discussions about coping strategies and support systems.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Crisis Intervention:</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Recognize and respond to patients in crisis, employing de-escalation techniques.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Coordinate with psychiatric staff and emergency services when necessary.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Documentation:</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and assessments.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Collaboration:</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Participate in team meetings and case reviews to enhance patient care.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Professional Development:</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Stay current with best practices and advancements in behavioral health nursing.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Engage in continuing education and training opportunities.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-center"><br></p><p class="ql-align-center"><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS </u></strong></p><p class="ql-align-center"><br></p><p>·        Current RN license in Florida.</p><p>·        Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.</p><p>·        Previous experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing is a plus.</p><p>·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</p><p>·        Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred).</p><p>·        Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</p><p>·        Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.</p><p><br></p><p>Join us in making a positive impact on the health and well-being of our community!</p><p><br></p><p>Job Types:<strong> INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR (1099), FEE FOR SERVICE.</strong></p><p><strong>*This position is <u>remote work</u> only- verbal interactions</strong></p></div>
