Reinsurance Senior CAT Risk Analyst (Primarily Home)

Executes assumed reinsurance catastrophe risk management tasks and projects in conjunction with related team members in the reinsurance division. Will lead and design projects and solutions to solve assumed reinsurance catastrophe risk business problems. With team, propose solutions to business questions and monitor progress of projects.<br><br>You will report to the Head of Reinsurance Pricing & Analytics, AmFamRe.<br><br>We are open to candidates anywhere in the United States. This is a primarily remote position.<br><br>Internal candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of location and will be considered based upon the needs of the role. <br><br>#LI-Remote<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Position Compensation Range:</p>$99,000.00 - $167,000.00<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Pay Rate Type:</p>Salary<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><i>Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. </i><i><span>Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.</span></i></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><p></p><ul><li>Performs assumed reinsurance catastrophe modeling analyses using catastrophe modeling software for the assessment of data input, model set-up, model execution, result extraction and loss analytics.</li><li>Communicates key model fundamentals including but not limited to Hazard, Vulnerability and Financial model components to peers and other functions.</li><li>Develops analytical tools, reports, and data to understand the impacts of natural disasters to the division's business, including applying a variety of geospatial analysis techniques to analysis projects.</li><li>Explore natural hazard data to incorporate into pricing, portfolio optimization, and accumulation management.</li><li>Evaluates reinsurance catastrophe management software and models and explores industry best practices and business strategies.</li><li>Partners with fellow assumed reinsurance catastrophe risk management team members to provide catastrophe related insights and recommendation.</li><li>Participates in the selection of research tools and technologies, design of a common research process, and brainstorming new opportunities and methodologies.</li><li>Proactively brings in new and innovative ideas and approaches to develop business.
