Resident Billing Analyst II

<h2>Overview</h2> <p>The Resident Billing Analyst II is responsible for conducting research and analyzing information to detect financially impacting billing errors. The position will be responsible for being a subject matter expert and works cross functionality with client success, compliance, operations, and our problem management teams to answer questions related to our client’s utility billing and recovery concerns. This position requires knowledge of key laws, regulations, and standards applicable to the multi-family real estate market. The Billing Analyst II works directly with all internal and external personnel within RealPage Utility Billing division.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Manage the Resident Billing Research Queue and investigate, research, and resolves matters of significance regarding utility billing.</li> <li>Reviews work prepared by Resident Billing Operations to identify financially impacting errors.</li> <li>Applies adjustments to future billings periods when financially impacting errors occurs.</li> <li>Completes root cause analyses on financially impacting errors to identify gaps in current processes.</li> <li>Collaborates with operational leaders on recommendations and remediation plans to ensure issues are adequately addressed.</li> <li>Handles escalations from client success using full discretion on course of action to remedy the problem and deliver on time accurate billing.</li> <li>Analyze system alerts for accuracy of billing and rate calculation prior to client review.</li> <li>Complete and review billing changes and line-item allocation for regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Provide supplemental operational and tactical support to Operation team when bandwidth allows.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in a billing, financial or accounting role.</li> <li>1+ years of experience in audit, data or research analysis</li> </ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify areas of improvement</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.</li> <li>Experience in Multifamily, Utility Billing or Invoice Processing preferred. • Works independently with minimal oversight</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Salary and Benefits</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><em>RealPage provides a competitive salary package along with a comprehensive benefit plan that includes:</em></p> <ul> <li><em>Health, dental, and vision insurance.</em></li> <li><em>Retirement savings plan with company match.</em></li> <li><em>Paid time off and holidays.</em></li> <li><em>Professional development opportunities.</em></li> <li><em>Performance-based bonus based on position.</em></li> </ul> <p><em>Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges.
