This role assesses patient symptoms, determines acuity, and directs callers to the appropriate level of care using evidence-based protocols embedded within the EMR. Candidates must have strong clinical critical thinking, multitasking, and technical skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced call center environment while meeting performance and patient care goals. This is a 24/7 operation with most shifts occurring evenings and weekends.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Primary Function and Relationship to the Total Organization</strong><strong>:</strong></p> <p>My UnityPoint Nurse Call Center offers a free health information service for the public, sponsored by UnityPoint Health and staffed by registered nurses 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. The nurses at My UnityPoint Nurse provide medical assessment and triage, up-to-date health information and physician and clinic referral service.
