This individual will lead the technical assessment and integration of blockchain infrastructure and smart contract platforms to support new product offerings. With a strong background in software engineering and a strategic mindset, the candidate will collaborate closely across the Product Division and with key business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals. The role requires a deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems, smart contract development, and the ability to evaluate and work with external partners to implement scalable digital capabilities.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities of the role</strong>:<br><ul><li>Lead the technical evaluation and integration of blockchain infrastructure and smart contract platforms</li><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and implement digital asset strategies</li><li>Participate in the design and development of new digital asset products and capabilities</li><li>Assess and manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors</li><li>Conduct technical due diligence on emerging blockchain technologies and tools</li><li>Support the development of secure and scalable infrastructure including wallets, key management, and custody solutions<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements of the role: <br></strong><ul><li>8+ years of experience in software engineering or technology leadership roles</li><li>Background in blockchain or Web3 companies, focused on infrastructure and smart contract development</li><li>Experience working with JSON-RPC APIs to interact with blockchain nodes and using Web3 libraries (e.g., web3.js, ethers.js) to build and test blockchain integrations</li><li>Strong track record of collaborating with product and business teams to deliver technology solutions</li><li>Experience leading technical assessments and implementations of distributed ledger technologies</li><li>Familiarity with financial services or product development in a financial context is preferred</li><li>Proficiency in smart contract development using Solidity, Rust, or other smart contract languages</li><li>Deep understanding of blockchain protocols, infrastructure, and tooling</li><li>Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills</li><li>Collaborative team player with a proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholder groups</li><li>Highly motivated self-starter with a growth mindset, strong initiative, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments<br><br></li></ul>The salary range for New York City for this position is $180,000-$200,000 year.
