Building our work for publicly- and privately-owned utilities, financial institutions and local governments, we are able to provide our clients with business insight into all sectors of the infrastructure industry.</p><p></p><p>We are seeking a <b>Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer</b> with 5+ years of experience within the utility industry working directly for a utility or consulting company, doing design engineering and reviews.  The candidate must have a strong educational background in design of steel structures, concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, and foundations. Experience reviewing substation structure design, rigid bus design, foundation design, oil spill containment design, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and firewalls is required.  This position will consist of performing design reviews of the aforementioned civil/structural design components in support of the development of bid/construction packages for substation projects. Candidate will primarily function as a senior engineer leading projects, performing design reviews, as well as developing junior staff members. Site-visits to client substation facilities are expected to be part of the work, along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry-related events.</p><p></p><p>Candidate must comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations.  This position will be a senior member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.</p><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>PE License Required in PA, OH, WV, MD, NJ or the ability to obtain licensure in these states within 3-12 months. </p><ul><li>SE licensure is preferred.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Word/Excel/PowerPoint</span> & MATHCAD software, required</li><li>Experience with RISA 3-D, STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAG10, and LPILE software, required</li><li>Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation required</li><li>Strong analytical and technical writing skills</li><li>Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work Location: </b>MA, MI, IL.
