You will own mold performance standards, drive continuous improvement in tooling reliability and ensure molds are maintained to meet safety, quality, and operational requirements. The role develops and supports a skilled technical team, aligns maintenance activities with production schedules, and partners closely with engineering and operations to support mold launches and long-term asset protection.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Lead the Mold Maintenance Department, focusing on repair and cleaning.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a team encouraging a collaborative culture.
  • Maintenance Practices: Implement preventive, corrective, and proactive maintenance aligned with global standards.
  • KPI Tracking: Monitor and optimize key performance indicators for mold reliability and performance.
  • Global Coordination: Ensure alignment with global processes and standards for consistent operations.
  • Proven Experience: Apply injection molding and tooling expertise to improve department efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in mold maintenance, tooling, or injection molding operations.
  • Strong understanding of injection mold construction, maintenance planning, and tooling reliability.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Dedication to safety, quality, and efficient operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced education or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred, but practical knowledge in mold upkeep and tooling is highly valued.
  • Experience in high-volume injection molding environments.
  • Familiarity with global or multi-site manufacturing organizations.
  • Certification or training in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
