You speak the language of OT fluently, covering everything from PLCs, SCADA, MES, to historian systems. Whether working with legacy protocols like Modbus, PROFINET, and OPC UA, or crafting cutting-edge edge-to-cloud integration architectures, you thrive. You understand data flow across ISA 95 levels and have successfully navigated the challenges inherent in brownfield environments, which include aging infrastructure and proprietary systems. You excel in addressing the organizational divide between IT and OT. When translating business needs into actionable technical architectures that operate effectively in production, your experience speaks for itself. You communicate effectively with plant engineers, IT teams, and executives alike, grounding your credibility in delivering substantial solutions in real-world facilities.</p> <p>The Work:</p> <ul> <li><p>Examine clients' manufacturing technology landscapes, including MES, SCADA, PLC, DCS, and historian systems, and determine target state architectures that integrate OT and IT.</p></li> <li><p>Design integration architectures aligned with ISA 95 standards, ensuring connectivity from the shop floor to the enterprise, including edge, on-premise, and cloud components.</p></li> <li><p>Formulate digital manufacturing roadmaps that consider technical feasibility while sequencing investments against operational constraints such as production uptime and cybersecurity requirements.</p></li> <li><p>Convert plant floor operational requirements into solution designs that resonate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders.</p></li> <li><p>Create business cases demonstrating the value of manufacturing technology upgrades, including improvements in OEE, quality, and reduced downtime.</p></li> <li><p>Lead small delivery teams throughout the full implementation lifecycle—from requirements gathering to design, commissioning, and hypercare in live production environments.</p></li> <li><p>Act as the technical authority on projects, advising clients on vendor selection, platform choices, and build vs. buy decisions.</p></li> </ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li><p>Travel will vary based on project phase and client needs, ranging from minimal to full-time onsite at client manufacturing facilities during critical delivery periods.</p></li> </ul> <p>What You Need:</p> <ul> <li><p>At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing environments, with direct exposure to plant operations and industrial infrastructure.</p></li> <li><p>At least 5 years of experience designing or delivering integration architectures across ERP, MES, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems.</p></li> </ul> <p>Bonus Points If You Have:</p> <ul> <li><p>A previous role as a Controls Engineer, Plant Systems Architect, Industrial Automation Architect, Smart Manufacturing Architect, OT Architect, IIoT Architect, or Digital Plant Lead.</p></li> <li><p>Proven experience in architecting solutions for manufacturing use cases such as predictive maintenance, quality inspection, and digital twin implementations.</p></li> <li><p>Understanding of ISA 95 and ISA 88 frameworks, alongside industrial communication protocols and data movement from Level 0 to Level 4.</p></li> <li><p>Familiarity with OT cybersecurity principles, including network segmentation and awareness of the Purdue Model and IEC 62443.</p></li> <li><p>Demonstrated experience in deploying AI/ML solutions within manufacturing settings.</p></li> <li><p>The ability to convey complex technical architectures clearly to engineers, IT leaders, and executive stakeholders.</p></li> <li><p>Expertise in constructing business cases and presenting transformation proposals to senior client leadership.</p></li> <li><p>Experience designing hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures for manufacturing environments sensitive to latency or air-gapped scenarios.</p></li> <li><p>Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP solutions in industrial applications.</p></li> <li><p>Acquaintance with microservices architectures, containerization, or serverless computing patterns.</p></li> <li><p>Experience with digital thread or digital twin platforms and their practical applications in production settings.</p></li> <li><p>You’ve been involved in commissioning systems on plant floors, managing factory acceptance testing, or coordinating integration in both brownfield and greenfield environments.</p></li> </ul> <p>Compensation at Accenture varies based on several factors, including office location, role, skill set, and experience level.
