Senior Test Engineer (Contract, Brazil, Remote)

Our Nearform engineers are known for building high quality, scalable solutions that solve real world problems.</p> <p><strong>About the Senior Test Engineer Role:</strong></p> <p>As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will work closely as part of the development team throughout the software lifecycle, embedding testing into every step of the process. However, your responsibilities may also include:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborating with others in the development team to integrate testing and a quality assurance mindset into the software development lifecycle.</li> <li>Define and implement structured testing practices, including automated and manual testing strategies.</li> <li>Develop and maintain automated front-end, back-end, and API test frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and Chai.</li> <li>Perform functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing.</li> <li>Ensure test processes are integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.</li> <li>Optimise testing for scalability, speed, and efficiency.</li> <li>Working with and supporting Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery.</li> <li>Collaborating with client teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we are looking for in this person:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional proficiency in English.</li> <li>Significant experience delivering at a Senior Test Engineer level. Our Seniors typically have at least 6 years’ commercial experience.</li> <li>Practical experience of delivering in an agile environment.</li> <li>Practical experience and knowledge of developing automation testing frameworks for scalable software solutions.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of automation testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Mocha, and Chai.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript. </li> <li>Deep understanding of version control tools - e.g. Git.</li> <li>Practical and real-world experience working with databases and cloud environments.</li> <li>Practical experience creating test strategies for large-scale, enterprise applications </li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li> <li>Experience with Sanity or other Headless CMS is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Our Interview Process</strong></p> <ol> <li> <ol> <li><strong>Talent Call</strong> (30 mins via Zoom)<br>An introductory conversation with a member of our Talent Team to learn more about your background, experience, and career goals. You'll be asked to build a working solution to a problem via screen sharing, demonstrating your Cypress or Playwright expertise, problem-solving ability, and QA best practices in a real-time environment.<hr></li> <li><strong>Hiring Manager Interview</strong> (45 mins via Zoom)<br>A conversation with a Hiring Manager focused on your approach to teamwork, client collaboration, and problem-solving in an enterprise development setting.
