Senior Unity Game Developer - Fully Remote

SOFTGAMES is looking for a Senior Unity Game Developer to join our team and supercharge our games with exciting new features on instant gaming platforms, bringing joy to tens of millions of players each month. As a Senior Unity Game Developer, you will design, build, test and implement features into our live games. You'll also work to bring our games to the mobile app stores and instant game platforms. You will collaborate with producers, artists, and other game developers to share lessons learned and best practices. As a Senior Unity Game Developer, you will deliver robust and high performing code, be passionate and act as a source of knowledge when it comes to game development. You will enjoy a creative, challenging and collaborative environment as part of a small, experienced and dynamic team. Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a technical assessment. Your role: • Develop new games to be played by millions of users • Maintain and optimize game features of existing games • Reduce loading time and bandwidth usage by optimizing code and assets • Write robust, maintainable and extensible code • Estimate the complexity of tasks and write technical specifications • Contribute to shared libraries and communicate changes to fellow developers • Share knowledge and help colleagues Your profile: • Great passion for games! • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Shipped and maintained at least 2 games, preferably on multiple platforms • Skilled at balancing short-term business needs with long-term technical goals • Strong knowledge and experience with Unity and C#/.Net • Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable and tested code while applying architectural best practices • Proficient in optimizing and deep profiling of mobile applications • Experience with Unity editor scripts and CI/CD pipelines • Ability to quickly get up to speed with existing code and tech stacks • Experience with the Firebase and GCP is a plus • Open-minded, humble and always curious to learn Benefits Softgames is offering a great package including: • Remote first - We have a flexible working setup.
