Job Summary

AeroTech Fabricators, a leading company in precision aerospace and industrial metal fabrication, is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Welder Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in welding, metal forming, and fabrication of sheet metal components with strict adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in MIG, TIG, and Spot welding techniques and demonstrate a keen attention to detail in producing high-quality components for aerospace and industrial applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication of sheet metal components using MIG, TIG, and Spot welding techniques.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately.
  • Prepare, cut, and shape metal sheets to required dimensions using appropriate tools and machinery.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials and tasks completed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Spot welding on sheet metal.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including bending, cutting, and assembling.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
  • Understanding of welding safety practices and proper handling of welding equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity for handling metal sheets and equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience as a sheet metal welder or fabricator in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in a precision fabrication environment is highly preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed to meet production deadlines.
