Site Safety Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Safety Site Supervisor to support the execution of geotechnical and foundation works in Johor (6 months contract) .

The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant site safety experience and possess a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor Certificate) . You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment throughout the execution of soil improvement, grouting, and other ground engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise site safety activities during the execution of geotechnical and ground improvement works .
  • Conduct safety inspections across active work zones (e.g., grout mixing stations, ground anchors, diaphragm wall sections).
  • Monitor and enforce safe equipment operations involving heavy machinery, lifting, and high-risk tasks.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety drills aligned with site hazards.
  • Ensure proper PPE usage and full compliance with client, DOSH, and company safety protocols.
  • Participate in risk assessments and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for all high-risk activities.
  • Maintain site safety documentation, incident logs, and inspection reports.
  • Investigate any safety-related incidents and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Work closely with site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safe execution of daily tasks.
  • Support emergency preparedness plans and environmental safety measures.
Requirements:
  • 2–3 years of site-based safety supervision experience , preferably in construction, geotechnical works, or infrastructure projects.
  • Valid Yellow Book (SSS Certificate) recognized by DOSH.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical construction activities such as soil improvement, and grouting is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian health & safety regulations (OSHA 1994, FMA 1967).
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor construction environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enforce safety in a multi-national and multi-subcontractor work environment.
  • Able to mobilize to site based in Johor within short notice.
