Software Developer (Backend)

We are seeking a Software Developer (Backend) to design, develop and maintain server-side applications and system integrations. The role involves building scalable, secure and high-performance backend services that support business applications, ERP systems and digital platforms. The developer will be responsible for translating functional requirements into reliable code, optimizing system performance and ensuring seamless data flow across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services, APIs and server-side logic
  • Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and system architecture
  • Build and optimize database interactions, queries and data processing logic
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ERP, internal systems and third-party services
  • Ensure application performance, scalability and security best practices
  • Debug, troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, ERP consultants and infrastructure teams
  • Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment processes
  • Maintain technical documentation including APIs, system design and workflows

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in backend software development. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g. Python, Node.js, Java, PHP)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with ORM frameworks and database optimization techniques
  • Experience with system integration (APIs, web services, data exchange)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • Familiarity with basic DevOps practices, deployment and environment management
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization and application security principles
  • Strong ownership mindset with focus on delivering reliable and maintainable code
