We are currently seeking a full-time Sous Chef to join our team at the Mars Columbus location at 5115 Fisher Road, Columbus, OH. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering exceptional food quality to our customers. The Sous Chef will work directly under the Executive Chef and assist in preparing and cooking food, coordinating kitchen activities, and overseeing food service associates. The position operates Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, with some nights and weekends required, making flexibility a key requirement. This role offers an hourly pay range of $24.00 to $27.00, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the position. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and counseling. A critical part of the job includes maintaining food safety and sanitation standards according to state, federal, and corporate regulations, ensuring proper food handling, presentation, and portion control, as well as keeping kitchen equipment and workstations clean and organized. The role also involves interacting with customers to resolve issues in a professional manner and monitoring inventory to manage supply levels efficiently. This position offers onsite training and a supportive environment designed to foster growth and professional development.
