Speech Language Pathologist School 2026-2027

Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year to support students in educational settings through comprehensive speech and language services. In this role, you will work within the Educational Services industry as part of the Healthcare & Medical Services department, partnering with school teams to help students with communication challenges access their curriculum and reach their full potential. As a school-based Speech Language Pathologist with Epic, you will provide screenings, evaluations, and ongoing therapy to students with a range of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and related disorders.

Therapy will be delivered in individual and group formats, using evidence-based interventions that are functional, engaging, and age-appropriate. You will be a key member of a collaborative special education team, working closely with special education teachers, general education teachers, school psychologists, occupational and physical therapists, administrators, and families. Your work will include active participation in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions, where you will explain assessment results, recommend services, and report student progress in clear, family-friendly language.

You will help design classroom supports, accommodations, and communication strategies that allow students to participate more fully in academic and social activities.

Day-to-day, you will manage a caseload of students across assigned grades and school sites, schedule and provide services according to IEPs, and maintain thorough, timely documentation. This includes completing evaluation reports, drafting IEP goals and present levels, writing progress notes, and preparing progress reports that accurately reflect student performance and data. You will integrate communication goals into classroom routines, collaborate with teachers on push-in and pull-out models of service delivery, and provide training and resources to families and staff to support skill carryover at home and in the community.

In all aspects of your work, you will adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards, including state licensure requirements, ASHA guidelines, and IDEA regulations.
