This key role will be focused on the growth of our newest IXOPAY solution, </span>AI Payments Intelligence<span>.</span></p><p><span>In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team, sales and customers to understand their business objectives to build a product focused on data-driven solutions that enhance payment performance, cost efficiency, and data management excellence. Leveraging your deep knowledge of the payments industry, you will contribute in building an AI driven payments intelligence product that allows global merchants to optimize their payment strategies, improve conversion rates, manage risks, and gain actionable insights from their data.</span></p><p></p><h2><b>Position Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li><p>Develop and enhance Ixopay’s AI Payments Intelligence platform<span>, enabling clients to extract actionable insights from complex transaction data.</span></p></li><li><p>Work closely with major enterprise clients<span> to understand their data needs, integrate with their PSPs, and ensure seamless onboarding and data flow.</span></p></li><li><p>Design, implement, and maintain scalable online data processing, analysis, and visualization systems<span>, with a strong focus on performance and reliability.</span></p></li><li><p>Contribute to building the infrastructure required for AI-driven capabilities<span>, including AI agents, machine learning workflows, and automated decision systems, and support the development of anomaly detection models and other ML-driven features.</span></p></li><li><p>Collaborate with product and engineering teams<span> to evaluate new features, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide product development from concept to launch.</span></p></li><li><p>Design data schemas, ETL pipelines, and mapping solutions<span> and ensure their smooth operation on cloud infrastructure.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to the creation of data summary statistics, internal analytics tooling, and integration interfaces for third-party systems such as payment gateways via SFTP, Reporting APIs, or webhook-based ingestion.</span></p></li><li><p>Develop and support client-facing analytical dashboards<span> and the backend components powering data visualization features.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure </span>security, performance, and high availability<span> across all backend services and data systems.</span></p></li><li><p>Work independently and take ownership<span> of complex technical initiatives while contributing to a collaborative team environment.</span></p></li><li><p>Implement analytical and visualization components<span> based on product requirements and close collaboration with product leadership.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure </span>portability and consistency of the user experience across devices and platforms<span>, supporting front-end integrations as needed.</span></p></li><li><p>Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies<span> to continually strengthen the platform and influence strategic technical decisions.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Position Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li><p>7+ years of proven experience in software development<span>, with a strong focus on backend engineering, data engineering, or database development.</span></p></li><li><p>Expert-level Python knowledge is required<span>, with experience building scalable backend services and data pipelines.</span></p></li><li><p>Deep, hands-on experience with AWS is required, including S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, SQS, and Bedrock.</p></li><li><p><span>Experience working with modern data tools and cloud-native architectures.</span></p></li><li><p>Strong plus:<span> experience with analytical databases such as </span>ClickHouse<span> and </span>Snowflake<span>.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.</span></p></li><li><p>Entrepreneurial mindset<span> with a motivation for personal and company growth.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Passion for creating impactful, data-driven products that deliver meaningful business value.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with </span>payment data analytics<span> or </span>PSP integrations<span> is preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Previous experience in a </span>startup environment<span> or a </span>payments company<span> is a strong advantage.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p>Based in <b>Munich</b> (preferably) or elsewhere in Germany<span> – this is a </span>remote-friendly position<span>, offering flexibility to work fully remotely or from our Munich location as desired.
