By raising the bar on how care is delivered and how providers are supported, we are building a sustainable system that values equity, affordability, and effectiveness.</p> <h3>About the Role:</h3> <p>The Senior Data Analyst, Providers plays a critical role in partnering with cross-functional leaders to shape and deliver Octave's provider analytics strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for defining key provider and clinical performance metrics, generating insights, and building scalable data models and analytics products that empower teams to make data-informed decisions. The ideal candidate is both a thinker and a doer who thrives in ambiguity, deeply understands clinical and operational workflows, and is passionate about using data to improve patient outcomes and provider performance.</p> <h3>Responsibilities Include:</h3> <ul> <li>Partner closely with clinical, operations, product, and engineering teams to identify key business problems and develop analytics solutions that drive growth and innovation.</li> <li>Develop dashboards, reporting, and self-service tools that enable teams to monitor performance and make data-informed decisions.</li> <li>Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and guide understanding of clinical quality and provider product needs.</li> <li>Collaborate with peers to design and maintain data models within Octave’s data warehouse to ensure reliable, scalable datasets that support analytics across the organization.</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications:</h3> <ul> <li>4+ years working in analytics / data science, preferably at a start-up or a technology-focused healthcare company.</li> <li>4+ years of hands-on experience performing analysis and complex data transformations with SQL.</li> <li>Experience manipulating large data sets and uncovering insights utilizing disparate data sources and tools.</li> <li>Experience using clinical data tools and platforms (e.g., electronic medical records systems, patient assessment collection tools) and data visualization tools like Tableau and Hex to track and analyze clinical performance and outcomes.</li> <li>Experience with healthcare quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and care effectiveness measurement.</li> <li>Experience with dbt / Git / Python / R is a plus.</li> <li>Analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex clinical workflows and operational processes into scalable data and reporting frameworks.</li> <li>Ability to connect data insights to business strategy and communicate findings clearly to a wide range of audiences.</li> <li>Self-directed curiosity; a knack for asking the right questions and comfortably navigating ambiguity to answer them.</li> <li>Able to confidently and independently drive projects from conception to completion.</li> <li>Deep understanding of clinical data, including treatment modalities, clinical notes, patient assessment data, and care pathways.</li> <li>Track record of improving clinical KPIs, such as patient engagement, treatment adherence, outcome measurement, and operational efficiency through data-driven insights.</li> <li>Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and best practices for handling sensitive patient information.</li> </ul> <h3>Octave's Company Values:</h3> <p>The below values drive our day-to-day operations.</p> <ul> <li><strong>We’re human beings first.</strong> We operate with empathy and kindness – with our clients, with our collaborators, and with ourselves.</li> <li><strong>People deserve better than status quo.</strong> We’re willing to tackle the intractable problems, no matter how big, because someone should. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future. </span></p> <p><span data-sheets-root="1">The salary range for Geo 1 (all states, excluding those in Geo 2 or Geo 3, and D.C.) is $132,100 - $142.600.</span></p> <p>The salary range for <span data-sheets-root="1">Geo</span> 2 (CO, HI, MD, RI) is <span data-sheets-root="1">$145,300</span> - <span data-sheets-root="1">$156,900</span>.</p> <p>The salary range for <span data-sheets-root="1">Geo</span> 3 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA) is <span data-sheets-root="1">$152,00 - 164,000</span>.</p> <p>All Geos are eligible for equity in the form of stock options.</p> <p>Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans.
