Job Description


Key Responsibilites:

  • Responsible for technical customer support and coordination. First point of technical contact for customers - provide technical feedback and solutions per product training material and published customer approved application notes and datasheets (TCDs).
  • Where necessary, work with Product Area Sensors (PAS), Product Area ICs (PAI), or Product Area Power Semiconductors (PAP) teams to request the appropriate information and communicate to customer.
  • Using application knowledge, assists customer in correctly designing in Bosch products.
  • Coordinates technical customer meetings with the appropriate Bosch team members, taking the lead to document the OPL when customer development lead is in the region.
  • Obtain customer's requirements and communicates them to the Bosch teams including Product Management.
  • Responsible for supporting customer quality issues related to samples provided during their development phase, prior to SOP.
  • Establish customer relationships by working closely with engineering teams.
  • Assist in pre-selling activities of components at customers by leading technical presentations, providing information and support.
  • Provide information on application specific customer trends, innovation, market, and competition.
  • Support development of local customer communication information (verbal and written) in native language.
  • Customer PPAP coordination and support as required
  • Assure customer technical satisfaction from the first engagement, through design-in phase and finally series production
  • Support sample warehouse coordination for components and development kits including testing and packaging of customer kits prior to delivery.

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a design and/or application engineering role.
  • Strong communication skills verbally and written. Must be able to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.
  • 5+ years of design and/or application engineering experience with semiconductors, MEMS devices, and/or Electronic Control Modules with an understanding of the automotive electronics market.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems including, navigation and mobility, ADAS, and safety systems including airbag systems.
  • Ability to travel nationally/internationally as required for customer meetings, training, and customer support. May be required to spend 2 weeks in Germany for initial technical training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of robotics in environments of manufacturing, humanoid and others.
  • Experienced with electronic engineering tools such as oscilliscopes, that are required for product development.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a clear understanding of the business environment as a supplier to Automotive Tier 1’s and/or OEM‘s.

Candidates must live within commutable distance from the Bosch Sunnyvale, CA facility and be available to come into the office weekly (or as required).

We offer a competitive base salary for this position with a range in US-California of $160,000 - $175,000, along with an annual corporate bonus, and a long-term incentive bonus designed to reward sustained impact and contribution over time. Within the salary range, the individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
