This role includes full-stack electrical design from generator systems to AI rack integration zones, with a focus on PDUs, UPS systems, MV/HV power distribution, phased power infrastructure, and controls architecture. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a passion for delivering scalable, reliable, and compliant infrastructure solutions.</p><p>The Sr. Principal Electrical Integration Engineer will manage and oversee the electrical systems essential for the data center, energy storage systems, and HVAC applications. This role will involve developing specifications, selecting key components, routing wires and cables, establishing connections, and transitioning design to manufacturing. Furthermore, the position includes leading test process implementation and ensuring equipment alignment to maintain the highest standards of operational excellence and reliability.</p><p><b>What will you do?</b></p><p><u>Product & System Design</u>:</p><ul><li>Knowledge of high-efficiency power conversion and point-of-load regulation for AI/ML server racks (BBU, rPDU).</li><li>Understanding of rack power zoning, load balancing, and redundancy strategies for tiered compute workloads.</li><li>Ensure electrical systems are properly integrated into fabricated enclosures and structural assemblies.</li><li>Lead the electrical design and integration of UPS systems, power conversion units, and safety interlocks.</li><li>Develop and maintain single-line and three-line diagrams for power distribution systems, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with NEC, IEEE, and UL standards.</li><li>Design and validate three-phase power systems, including load balancing, fault protection, and redundancy strategies for high-availability environments.</li><li>Engineer and integrate medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) power distribution components such as switchgear, transformers, busways, and protective relays.</li><li>Specify and qualify electrical components including circuit breakers, contactors, CTs/PTs, surge protection devices, isolation switches for MV/HV applications and the design and development of wiring harnesses</li></ul><p><u>Factory & Facility Integration</u>:</p><ul><li>Design end-to-end electrical distribution systems from generator and utility interface to AI rack integration zones.</li><li>Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure electrical infrastructure aligns with facility layout, safety codes, and operational requirements.</li><li>Plan and implement power redundancy, load segmentation, and scalable distribution architectures to support high-density compute environments.</li><li>Ensure proper grounding, EMI shielding, and thermal management across all facility-level electrical systems.</li></ul><p><u>Fabrication & Implementation</u>:</p><ul><li>Define fabrication processes including panel building, cable routing, and system integration, ensuring manufacturability and serviceability.</li><li>Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and thermal modeling using tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or EasyPower.</li><li>Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and validation testing to ensure compliance with UL, IEC, NEC, CE, RoHS, and REACH standards.</li><li>Interface with suppliers and customers resolve fabrication and quality issues, and ensure adherence to specifications.</li><li>Support prototype builds, field deployments, and customer engagements to gather feedback and refine designs.</li></ul><p><u>Controls Architecture</u>:</p><ul><li>Develop and implement electrical controls architecture for power and cooling systems, including PLCs, SCADA integration, and remote monitoring capabilities.</li><li>Define control logic, sensor integration, and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, SNMP) for intelligent power and cooling management.</li><li>Collaborate with software and automation teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with facility and product-level infrastructure.</li><li>Validate control systems through simulation, testing, and commissioning to ensure reliability, safety, and responsiveness.</li></ul><p><u>Leadership & Documentation</u>:</p><ul><li>Develop and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, test procedures, and engineering change orders (ECOs).</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, design for manufacturability (DFM), and product scalability</li></ul><p><b>How will you get here?
