Sr Solutions Architect, Alexa+

DESCRIPTION

The Alexa+ team seeks an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to drive strategic adoption of Alexa+ across Tier-1 partners, and shape the future of Generative AI integrations at scale.

Powered by GenAI, Alexa+ is your new personal AI assistant that gets things done—she’s smarter, more conversational, more capable, and is available across our family of devices: screened, non-screened, mobile, FireTV, and Alexa.com, to name a few. Rebuilt from the ground up, this new version of Alexa uses a state-of-the-art architecture that automatically connects a variety of large language models (LLMs), agentic capabilities, services, and devices at scale.

In your role as voice of the developer, and representing Amazon as a senior technical leader, you’ll manage relationships with customer senior leadership, providing technical consultation to key development partners, and lead complex projects with cross-team impact. Responsibilities include proactively identifying future trends and product gaps, developing reusable architectural frameworks to accelerate adoption, and establishing best practices that empower the broader SA community. This position requires operating with a strong product mindset, and leveraging that to translate complex technical concepts into business value for senior leaders while helping partners identify innovative applications for Alexa's capabilities, and make strategic trade-offs to achieve long-term goals.

The ideal candidate brings extensive technology solution design experience, proven success leading large-scale cloud architectural implementations, and a track record of driving technical strategy with executive stakeholders. You combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership abilities, enabling you to drive cross-team change, and mentor other architects while building lasting partnerships at the highest levels.

Key job responsibilities
Technical Innovation & Excellence

  • Design and establish large-scale solution design and architectural frameworks that drive consistent implementation across multiple partner portfolios
  • Create reference patterns and LLM optimization standards that simplify complex problems and become adopted both internally and externally
  • Make high judgment technical decisions independently in ambiguous situations, determining appropriate solution strategies with significant business impact

Partner & Business Impact

  • Drive C-level technical engagement with strategic partners, establishing technology roadmaps that drive Amazon and partner flywheels
  • Establish scalable processes and frameworks that accelerate adoption across categories, not just individual partners
  • Influence Alexa+'s customer and developer experience through synthesis of market trends, competitive intelligence, and strategic partner feedback

Strategic Leadership & Development

  • Collaborate with product leadership during early formation stages of new capabilities, directly influencing product requirements and go-to-market strategies
  • Accelerate SA community development by mentoring junior architects, performing technical promotion assessments, and establishing team best practices
  • Represent Amazon as a recognized thought leader at major industry events, establishing technical credibility that opens new strategic partnership opportunities
