  • *Strategic Communications & Operations for the Chief Medical Officer (CMO)**

Strategic Communications (50%)

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the CMO and the Communications Team.
  • Oversee the CMO’s social media efforts, partnering with the Communications Team with respect to content planning and publication.
  • Oversee the development and execution of CMO’s Way Cool Genomics video series and related multimedia initiatives.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate internal and external communications on behalf of the CMO (e.g., news pieces, event invitations, and executive correspondence), working collaboratively with the Communications Team when appropriate.
  • Utilize technology platforms and data-driven tools to modernize communication strategies, ensuring messaging is clear, timely, consistent, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Operations (50%)

  • Work closely with the CMO’s Executive Assistant and other members of the CMO’s staff to ensure that the CMO is maximally effective in his role.
  • Cultivate and manage the CMO’s strategic relationships and communications across the organization and with external stakeholders, serving as a key liaison on behalf of the CMO.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-visibility initiatives and events on behalf of the CMO, such as working groups, workshops, meetings, and conferences.
  • On behalf of the CMO, collaborate across the scientific, administrative, and broader external ecosystem to achieve defined objectives, allocate resources effectively, meet deadlines, and resolve challenges.
  • Provide strategic counsel; prepare executive briefings and correspondence; support CMO’s domestic and international engagements; and exercise judgement to ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate representation of the CMO.
  • Keep the CMO informed of progress, risks, and outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Continuously expand subject matter expertise in emerging areas to anticipate evolving organizational needs.
  • Apply analytical and innovative approaches to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
The estimated base salary range for the Strategic Communication and Business Operations to the CMO role based in the United States of America is: $118,200 - $177,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.

Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
