The Security Operations team manages the full spectrum of our security technology. Team responsibilities range from enterprise platforms like Splunk, CrowdStrike, and ProofPoint, down to the foundational Windows and Linux servers they run on, including all hardware maintenance and system patching. As our new Supervisor of Security Operations, you will lead, mentor, and collaborate with a talented team of security administrators and architects. Your responsibilities will include leading the team in architecting, implementing, and providing technical guidance for the deployment and ongoing maintenance of the various technologies utilized by the SecOps team. Some Key Responsibilities • Translate priorities from the product owner into clear, actionable tasks for the SecOps team, guiding day-to-day execution and focus. • Evaluate vendor deliverables-including code reviews and test coverage. Develop and implement scalable quality assurance processes for future evaluations. • Oversee and approve technical strategies to guarantee full compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal OIT standards. • Review and collaborate on Technical Documents/Standards relating to cybersecurity infrastructure & application architecture, design steps, integration processes, branching strategies, and testing environments. • Collaborate and review technical standards and documentation, giving input on everything from infrastructure design to integration processes and testing environments. • Identify, recommend, and oversee the implementation of upgraded tools and enhanced processes to continually advance the team's capabilities. • Manage direct reports with a human-centered approach, offering work flexibility based on individual life circumstances whenever possible. The required minimum qualifications and/or education (if substituting for the proven experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows Minimum Qualifications A minimum of four (4) years of experience as an IT professional, which must include a minimum of three years of experience in any combination of server operations, network operations, IT Infrastructure engineering, or directly comparable experience. Substitutions • Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. • Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. Preferred Qualifications • Prior leadership experience. • Experience with cybersecurity technologies.
