The position will manage system configuration, database, and provide training and support to users as needed. Additionally, the System Architect – Atlassian, will work closely with engineers, developers, administrators, and analysts to participate in business-critical projects such as system mergers, feature implementations and process revisions as part of a larger cross functional team to ensure that the platform ecosystem remains relevant, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and security policies. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Atlassian Architecture: • Document and maintain architecture artifacts including system diagrams, data flow maps, and integration specifications • Assess architectural changes to accommodate business needs • Monitor and evaluate the impact of Atlassian platform updates, marketplace app changes, and third-party integrations on system stability and performance • Establish and enforce architectural standards and governance policies across the Atlassian ecosystem • Conduct regular architecture reviews to identify technical debt, security vulnerabilities, and opportunities for optimization • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and security teams to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements • Executes on bi-weekly releases and including end-user communications • Collaborates with Salesforce and Pendo Teams in the Center of Excellence • Continuously stays abreast of Atlassian released features, functionality, obsolescence and best practices • Incorporates AI tooling to bolster efficiency and accuracy of work • Jira Administration: • Manage and administer Jira cloud instance. • Configure and customize Jira projects, workflows, boards, custom fields, screens, and permissions. • Troubleshoot and resolve Jira-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to teams. • Jira Service Management: • Implement or maintain Jira Service Management, including ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management. • Set up SLAs, service request workflows, automation rules, and customer portals to meet organizational needs. • Integrate Jira Service Management with alerting and monitoring tools, Setup and maintain automations. • Integration & Automation: • Integrate and manage Jira with other enterprise systems, including Slack, Salesforce, Azure DevOps, and other tools. • Leverage Jira REST APIs to automate workflows and enable efficient data exchange between systems. • Evaluate and manage marketplace apps and third-party integrations to ensure compatibility, security, and performance standards • Optimization & Support: • Continuously optimize Jira configurations to improve performance, scalability, and alignment with business processes. • Monitor and manage user access, security settings, and permissions for projects and users. • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to end-users to ensure maximum adoption and efficiency.
