Telehealth Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

<div>As a reflection of our continued growth, we are seeking a full-time, seasonal, Telehealth provider that is licensed in New York for WellNow Virtual Care!<br/><br/>Onboarding will occur in October, and telehealth coverage will last from November 1 - March 31.<br/><br/><b>Salary:</b><br/><ul><li>Qualified NP/PA hourly rate is $60/hour</li></ul><br/><br/><b>As an NP or PA, you'll succeed by: </b><br/><br/>Outstanding Patient Care and Medical Knowledge<br/><ul><li>Assesses patient needs within a telemedicine care setting</li><li>Appropriately triages patients to differentiate the patient needs</li><li>Evaluates patients in a timely manner, putting patient care above clerical duties</li><li>Performs a thorough history and physical exam on each patient</li><li>Creates an individualized, evidence-based plan of care</li><li>Appropriately consults the on-call WellNow physician and on-call radiologist</li><li>Effectively manages payers across the spectrum of services provided at a site</li><li>Follows evidence-based standards for ordering laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic studies</li><li>Uses evidence-based resources for treatment options</li><li>Orders and prescribes appropriate medications</li><li>Appropriately consults and refers to primary care and specialty physicians</li><li>Performs procedures appropriate type of services provided at the standard of care</li><li>Educates patients regarding the disease process and discharge plan</li><li>Maintains patient confidentiality</li></ul><br/><br/>Continuous Practice-Based Learning<br/><ul><li>Completes CME requirements for specialty</li><li>Attends peer review and education update meetings</li><li>Serves as a resource in educating other staff members</li></ul><br/><br/>Superior Interpersonal and Communication Skills<br/><ul><li>Treats every patient professionally and compassionately</li><li>Communicates with clinical staff regarding patient condition and plan of care</li><li>Does not discuss details of business with patients</li><li>Does not label patients</li><li>Takes concerns to management instead of discussing with staff</li></ul><br/><br/>Professionalism<br/><ul><li>Arrives to work on time</li><li>Adheres to the dress code described in the Employee Handbook</li><li>Limits personal conversations with staff</li><li>Continues to see patients during scheduled time</li></ul><br/><br/>Attention to System-Based Practice<br/><ul><li>Maintains patient records for clinic use, medical record use, and billing use</li><li>Completes charts within 3 days of shift</li><li>Ensures all diagnostic tests that are not complete at the time of care are reviewed and appropriately followed-up</li><li>Attends meetings</li><li>Participates in special projects as they arise</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b><br/><ul><li>1+ years of emergency medicine/urgent care experience, telemedicine experience, or family practice experience, which includes the ability to manage adult and pediatric patients.</li><li>Ideal candidate will have experience working in both a fast track and main emergency department setting</li><li>Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to work well independently evaluating and managing patients, and serve as a leader of a team</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Friendly and customer service oriented.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Education:</b><br/><ul><li>Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program or an accredited university.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Required License or Certification:</b><br/><ul><li>Provider must be willing to obtain multiple state licenses as directed by WellNow</li><li>Provider must have NY state license at time of employment</li></ul><br/><br/></div>
