Description Binary Defense is seeking a talented Tier 1 SOC Analyst to work as part of our 24x7x365 Security Operations Center team. Our SOC is 100% remote. You will be provided with equipment to work remotely and will receive training on our clients, processes, and technologies. Shift Schedule: The position offers one of the following shifts: Sun - Wed, 9 PM - 7 AM Eastern Wed - Sat, 12 AM - 10 AM Eastern Responsibilities Actively monitor and investigate security alerts to detect malicious activity during your shift. Perform Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK analysis on incoming alerts. Follow documented procedures to triage and respond to malicious activity, including escalation or remediation. Provide clear, concise written investigations within our service management system. Communicate and collaborate with clients throughout security investigations. Contribute to security operations across all clients, including escalations and meetings. Participate in internal meetings for shift handover and team collaboration. Engage in regular training to stay current on security technologies and threats. Stay informed about the latest vulnerabilities and attack trends. Collaborate effectively with team members. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security or equivalent experience. Knowledge of network and endpoint security principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and attack trends. Understanding of security frameworks like Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK. One or more cybersecurity certifications. Excellent communication skills. Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, etc. Experience with Endpoint Protection platforms like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc. Willingness to learn and improve skills.
