Trade Account Manager

Serves as a dedicated point of contact for one or more contracted national customers. This role coordinates business activities, providing advisory and operational guidance in support of international trade compliance, customs clearance operations, and regulatory requirements. This position ensures that designated customers receive proactive support in trade operations, regulatory compliance, and supply chain efficiency.

  • Serve as a single point of contact for designated contracted customers, coordinating activities across all business

  • Provide proactive communication on global trade and regulatory changes or requirements, ensuring customers and their suppliers maintain compliance.

  • Engage with designated contracted customers and their suppliers on the proper use of FedEx shipping platforms, coordinating training as needed.

  • Collaborate with the appropriate FedEx OpCo teams to provide feedback and implement process improvements as needed.

  • Participate in regularly scheduled business reviews, providing updates and insights on designated contracted customers’ activities and business concerns.

  • Provide consultation and guidance on regulatory, compliance, and customs-related issues affecting the customer’s shipments.

  • Monitor the global trade and transportation landscape, providing timely updates to designated (contracted) customers on potential business improvements or opportunities specific to their business.

  • Provide consultation and guidance on regulatory and compliance matters to support designated (contracted) customers’ supply chain, classification, and documentation requirements.

  • Interpret and advise on US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and other applicable trade regulations.

  • Engage with designated customers on proposed regulatory or policy changes that may impact on the customer’s business domestic and global business practices.

  • Advise on tariff classifications, duty rates, admissibility, restricted goods, licensing, and special regulatory programs.

  • Review and provide guidance on admissibility requirements, restricted goods, licensing obligations, and special regulatory programs.

  • Support compliance with partner government agencies (FDA, EPA, USDA, etc.)

  • Monitor US-inbound shipments and identify potential clearance delays.

  • Coordinate with FedEx brokerage teams, internal customer teams, and shippers/suppliers to ensure accurate documentation and data integrity.

  • Provide guidance on documentation requirements including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.

  • Coordinate with the appropriate FedEx teams to assist in resolving customs holds, post-entry issues, and document requests.

  • Evaluate eligibility for trade preference programs (USMCA, other FTAs, etc.) and identify opportunities for duty savings.

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to provide guidance on duty recovery programs, including post-summary corrections (PSC), protests, or potential duty drawback opportunities.

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance trade compliance and reduce exposure to penalties.

  • Review and advise logistics business practices to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and drive operational enhancements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent business experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in customs brokerage or related international trade field.

  • Valid U.S. Individual Customs Broker License.

  • Must be familiar with ocean, air, warehouse, and surface transportation procedures.

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, with familiarity with other relevant federal agency requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings, deliver updates, organize ideas, and present information clearly and persuasively.


Preferred Qualifications: 1st Shift Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role is Remote in Memphis for now. Must meet the requirements in the listed job description and live within 50-mile radius of the FXL facility.

Pay Transparency:

Pay: Total Base Pay Range 5,588.44 - 10,603.67 USD Monthly,
