You will work closely with our team of civil engineers to support and deliver roadway design projects including incorporation of multimodal facilities, traffic calming treatments, urban streets roadway designs and modifications, accessibility improvements, transit network upgrades, drainage assessments and designs, public and private utility coordination, and green infrastructure elements. <strong>This position is available in our Perrysburg, OH office and can be hybrid or remote.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong> Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Providing technical expertise on projects from the conceptual and preliminary engineering design phase to final design.</li> <li>Providing technical expertise on projects beyond final design to construction phase services.</li> <li>Coordinating with architects, bridge, environmental, geotechnical, survey, and traffic professionals, to complete multi-disciplinary project deliverables.</li> <li>Assisting project managers in various aspects of roadway design, utility infrastructure design and coordination, development of construction documents, and construction support services.</li> <li>Preparing detailed civil design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages.</li> <li>Working with Project Managers to ensure that production of specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.</li> <li>3-5 years' experience in the design and preparation of construction contract documents for roadway design projects.</li> <li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate or be able to get it within one year.</li> <li>Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability to obtain a license preferred.</li> <li>Experience with developing roadway designs in accordance with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).</li> <li>AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation - ORD, and  AutoTURN.</li> <li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in 3D roadway models, horizontal alignments, profiles, corridors, cross sections, grading, sidewalk/curb ramps, ADA design, construction phasing, quantity takeoffs, and estimates preferred.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Move Forward with Kleinfelder:</strong> Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
