Transportation Coordinator

Job Description Position Summary: Responsible for aiding and operational execution for outbound domestic transportation at the Stockton distribution center. Essential Functions of this Role: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Arrange the delivery products to customers and oversee the delivery of goods. Ensure delivery schedules are met and track deliveries, update and provide tracking information. Use Log the site TMS to review delivery costs and select cost effective transportation solutions. Perform Log Pro TMS system inquires as needed. Transportation routing submissions for collect specified customers. Collaborate with customer carriers and systems to schedule pick-ups. Execute small parcel shipment processing using such as FEDEX and UPS Prepare Bill of Ladings Obtain Full Truck Load (FTL) and less than Truckload (LTL) Rate Quotes Process shipment of Hazardous goods, including processing of required paperwork. Print Source Requisition Requests and execute return to vendor (RTV) shipments. Coordinate with shipping dock to ensure all orders are shipped by the required ship date. Coordinate domestic shipments within the US including Alaska/Puerto Rico/Hawaii Communicate overages, shortages, and errors on receipts to the appropriate business partners. Analyze Production daily spreadsheet detail. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Work Environment: Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations. Due to forklifts and other equipment traveling through the warehouse the environment can be noisy, dusty, may emit gas fumes, and create excessive vibrations. Physical Demands: Must be able to move around in a large, fast-paced warehouse for 8 hrs. or more per day. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. frequently. Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces. Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Expected Hours of Work: Must be available during standard distribution hours with occasional overtime. Remaining flexible with working schedules is required, to include working overtime, evenings, and weekends. Required Education, Experience and Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for business and safety purposes. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent required 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or education Positive attitude - work as part of a team and/or independently Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with people in different functions. Basic math, reading, and voice comprehension are necessary. Ability to read packs, order labels, other information and match visible items and other data. Maintain regular attendance. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Good PC skills including Microsoft office and Excel; working knowledge of ERP systems. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and automated warehouse management systems; proficient reading and comprehensive skills; basic people skills; basic understanding of sound safety practices and good housekeeping requirements; effective communication skills; proven record of good internal and external customer service skills; meticulous Additional Eligibility Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
